Callaway Resort & Gardens - Pine Mountain (Harris County)

Our stay was marred by many closed facilities during the weekend, which made the experience feel lackluster despite our longtime affection for Callaway.

The hotel is clean, has views of the lake.

Best possible and quiet position, I loved staying in this place.

Location: the hotel was really close to the gardens and staff and the trolley and the chapel and lake.

While the location is beautiful, and staff like Kensie and Dean are cute, there are glaring inconsistencies. Check-in was chaotic and left us feeling frustrated. The restaurant services could use improvement, but the performers at the circus were genuinely good. With a few tweaks, this place could really shine.

Gorgeous position near Callaway Gardens, a creek and lake, the beach, and attractive room. Tasty breakfast with dessert and also sweet potatoes and magnificent location.

Ordered breakfast, it was expensive, it should be way much better, really.

This place suits me perfectly, with amenities like a fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool, and friendly staff. They even helped me with printing documents during my first stay. You won't regret visiting here!

The butterfly garden was an absolute highlight for us 🦋 It was serene. Check-in was a bit slow, a downside.

The lakeside balcony room offered fine views. Disappointment arose with many activities being closed, including the beach and dining options, which seemed like a ghost town. The resort could enhance evening offerings. An adult event would have been a nice touch. While the staff was friendly, there's room for improvement in ensuring everything is operational .

I really enjoyed the beautiful, newly remodeled facilities at Callaway Resort. The grounds are well-maintained and offer a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly, jumping in to help when needed. The dining experience fell short. The menu lacked variety for non-meat eaters, especially at breakfast. I waited quite a while for made-to-order meals, frustrating. Check-in was slow, but the room was spacious and clean, with modern amenities. Despite these issues, the butterfly exhibit and nature trails were real highlights for my family.

The extensive nature trails offered a perfect setting for biking and exploring. The Butterfly Center is a good attraction where children can interact with a vibrant display of butterflies-definitely a highlight of our visit.

We encountered several inconveniences . The air conditioning unit in our initial room made annoying noises, pushing us to request a change. Unfortunately, both subsequent rooms had the same issue, and one of them also had a malfunctioning fridge. This became frustrating since we traveled with young children, and we ultimately decided to leave rather than deal with the repeated problems. The dining options felt limited for such a large resort, especially during off-peak hours when fewer choices were available. The overall experience left us wishing for more activities, as the resort seemed quiet with little going on .

The grounds are beautifully maintained. The room was spacious and offered modern amenities like a microwave and refrigerator. The staff, particularly the housekeeping, was friendly. I appreciated the easy access to various activities, such as the birds of prey show and the butterfly gardens.

Check-in took longer than expected, and there was some inconsistency in service.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the shuttle service was disappointing.
